students.

Scene intro: two people are coming from the right and three people are coming from the left.

Nam: (reads book while walking with her friend)

Joy: (slaps the book from joy’s hand and then smile) ehmm…sorry :)

May: (picks up the book from the floor) aw… joy! What are you doing? You should not do that
to your classmate.

Alice: (takes the books from may’s hand and getting closer to nam) joy…. you should not do
that. (throws the book to the back) you were supposed to throw it further instead. Am I right,
nam?

STOP!!! Aren’t you bored listening to the story of a nerd girl who gets bullied by her
classmates? What is that? What happened? Oh my gosh, so boring! But don’t worry. We are not
going to tell you a story like that. We will tell you something unexpected. Cue the music!

(the music is playing while the next setting is set)

SETTING THEATER CLUB: Many chairs are directed towards Hans. Everyone has nametag
on their neck.

Hans: Hi everyone, welcome to the theater club. My name is Hans and I’m the director of this
drama project. I want everyone to introduce themselves and give a line that you prepared for the
role. We’ll go by a numerical order. Now let’s start with the princess. Okay go!

Jess: Hello, my name is Jess from classroom 11/2. I would like to play as princess Vivienne.

Hans: Okay Jess, you can go to that door and play your line to the judges there.

Nam: (shaking her feet so hard)

May: Tch, hey you! Can you stop shaking your feet please? It’s distracting.

Nam: okay sorry

Nam: (still shaking her feet so hard)

May: hoii (move to the back seat)

Joy: (whisper) shh… stop shaking your feet.

Nam: oh… I’m sorry. I shake my feet if I feel nervous. It becomes a habit.

Hans: Number 2 please enter the room and play your line.

Nam: (still shaking her feet)

Alice: Hey Hey. If you’re this scared, you should just go home and cry likes a baby.

Nam: (get up and cry like a baby)

This student named Alice. This girl enables to understand how others feel and use it to
destroy her competition effectively. No one will stand in her way like what she did just now.

Joy: So dumb.

Alice: I know right! Someone who is weak likes her is easy to destroy. I only talked to her and
she cried already.

Joy: (close her book) not her. I am talking about you. You are dumb.

And that student is Joy. She is pretty. She is rich. She is smart. Really really smart to the
point that the teachers are afraid of her. She is good at everything. Her only flaw? Her mouth.
Her ability is to make people pissed by her straightforwardness.

Hans: Both of you please come to the room and get your line ready.
So, this is where the story begins. Now allow me to take you on a sassy journey of the
greatest story that happens inside a theater club. Are you ready? Play the music.

*cues* After the audition, Alice was chosen as the lead role of princess Vivienne by the director.

SETTING THEATER STAGE: There are a lot of costumes on the left side of the stage. The
chairs are directed below the stage.

Alice: Finally, I, Vivienne, was crowned by the Queen of the White City. I have entitled the
honors and power.

Hans: Wrong! Honors and rights, not power.

Jess: (coming to alice’s side) Entitled the honors and rights.

Alice: It’s just a coronation speech. Is it necessary to follow the script word by word? (Dodge her
side) hey, name. If you cannot act, at least do a good job of making the costumes.

Nam: Yes, miss.

(Alice is go outside the setting)

Like any tale, where there is a princess, there is a green-eyed monster lurking behind.
Green means jealousy.

May: Hey, guys. Alice is so arrogant. If she was my daughter I would throw her out of the bridge
already.

Jess: Don’t be like that. Alice is actually very nice. She is just bad at socialize.

May: hmmm yes bad at socialize my ass. Can you see her yourself? She is so soo sooo
narcissistic. (sigh and fanning herself) Jess you have known her since we were freshman. Does
she have any secret back then?

Jess: What do you mean?

May: well, maybe she killed someone or she used drugs or she was actually a servant’s daughter
or she. You know something that make her less perfect. (start to fan herself again) she must have
flaws.

Jess: I don’t know. I am not really that close to her. Maybe Joy knows something since she was
in the same high school like Alice.

May: Joy? (Turns back) hey heh heh sshh. You are Joy right?

Joy: Do I know you?

May: Awww…. We are in the same class. How can you not know me? You are so funny
wkwkwkwk. So are you close with alice?

Joy: Not your business.

(Joy leaves the room)

May: Woiihh… what happened in their high school? What did the teacher teach them? They
have bad personalities. I am glad. My mom loves me and teach me how to be a good girl who
has manner. Am I right? You can eat this. Eat eat eat.

(Chat notification sounds)

Hans: May!! Is this text from you? (showing his phone)

May: What? I don’t even touch my phone.

Nam: Whose picture is this? This kid is so fatty. She even uses sunglasses. Whose ugly picture is
this?

Jess: You are right. But she looks familiar. Is this you may?

May: Ew… there’s no way! I always look beautiful even when I was in my mom’s tomb. Eh
wait (looking at the picture) the nametag says Alice Claire. WHAT??? BUAHAHAHAha is this
alice when she was in high school? So ugly hahaha.

Jess: wait if this really alice. We should delete it from the groupchat. Alice is in the groupchat
too. She maybe hates this picture.

Nam: PER.FECT. She can sees how ugly she was. She acts all almighty when she ever looked
like this huh.

May: hahahaha I knew it. I knew it. She has flaws.

Hans: Alright. Alright. Let’s wrap out today’s practice. And come back again next week.

(Everyone leaves the room)

The old shameful picture of alice was posted online by someone unknown. Looking at her
picture in the groupchat. Alice becomes furious. A week just passed like that. And the next
practice gathering is coming.

(the music is playing)

SETTING THEATER CLUB: The chairs are arranged in U shape.

May: ohhh the fatty princess is still coming.

Nam: shhtt.

Hans: Okay because everyone is already here. Let’s start our practice. Alice read your script.

Alice: Thank you, citizens of the White City. I am so happy that everyone loves me. No one
stabs me in the back. Hahahaha.

Hans: I don’t think that is in the script.

Alice: IMPROVISE.

May: (sigh)

Hans: The citizens of the White City believe in purity. They want to make the city all white.
Princess Vivienne must be calm, peaceful and untained. Got it.

Alice: Yes.

Hans: Now let me give you the background of the story. (reading the script) Long ago in a
faraway land, a king and his fair queen were blessed with a beautiful baby girl. They named their
daughter Vivienne, for she filled their lives with light like the dawn. ... Before the sun set on her
sixteenth birthday, Vivienne would prick her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel and die!

Alice: (cutting hans’s dialogue) eh nam, why were you looking at me?

Nam: huh?

Alice: I asked why you were looking at me.

Nam: Why would I be looking at you?

Alice: I pretend to yawn. Psychologically speaking, yawning is contagious. I yawned and the you
yawned. You must have been looking at me.

Nam: So what if I did? May yawned, too. (pointed at may)

May: Hah? I did? I saw you yawn, so I yawned as well. Hans is yawning now. (pointed at hans)

Hans: I- I was up late last night watching a volleyball game.

Alice: eh hans, what are you hiding from me?

Hans: what?
Alice: The way you sit and cover your mouth… it shows you are hiding something. What is it
that you are hiding?

Hans: (sigh) Duh girl, when you yawn, you cover your mouth. I don’t want to spit on anyone by
accident.

Jess: Alice, what’s up with you?

Alice: It is what’s up with you guys? If you have something to say just say it in front of me.
Don’t stab me in the back. Here it is. Who sent my old picture in the groupchat? Hans, you’re
playing with your phone.

Hans: I’m reading the script from my phone to reduce use of natural resources.

Alice: I don’t believe you. Give me your phone! Give me! You are all trying to take my role,
aren’t you? You should not hope to get my role. I will keep it until I die!!

The relationship between princess Vivienne and the citizens of White City is becoming
worst. Alice is angry with her theatre mates. What will happen next? I will show you a minute.
Play the music

(music play and setting changes)

SETTING EMPTY CLASSROOM: there is only one table and one chair.

(Joy and Jess are pulling Alice)

Joy: what the hell is wrong with you? You had a meltdown all of the sudden.

Alice: How can I not? One of those people must have leaked the photo.

Joy: But this is madness.

Jess: What makes you so sure?

Alice: Look at them. They are getting strange.

Jess: strange huh? You’re the only one who is acting strange.

Alice: (sigh)

Jess: Alice, to be honest, I know you’re stressed out but stop paying attention to this nonsense.

Alice: then, what do you want me to do?

Jess: I think you should rest and maybe…

Joy: maybe what?

Jess: (sitting down) maybe you should give up your role and take a proper rest. I believe there is
someone who can replace your place.

Joy: yeah? Then…. Who is this someone you are talking about?

Jess: well… I can also play as princess Vivienne

Joy: Right. You are good. Indeed. And maybe… you should tell alice about how good you are at
taking her role, am I right? Unknown sender.

Alice: what do you mean?

Joy: Now, because we are already here. Alice, the one who is leaked your picture is actually Jess.
I keep silent because I think this is just a childish nonsense. But well because you are both here. I
want to watch something interesting.

Alice: is that true? You are the one who sent it?

Jess: …….yes. I did. That’s because you don’t deserve to take such a role. Someone like you are
so unlikeable. No one really likes you. I hate you. I hate the way you talk. I hate the way you can
get what you want. And I hate the way your parents pay this university to get you in meanwhile I
need to work hard to enter this university. To raise such an ungrateful child like you. Your
parents should be ashamed. Don’t you know it. Ugly!

Alice: Ugly, huh?

(fighting scene)

Hans: WHAT ARE YOU GUYS DOING?!

Jess: Move! If you get closer to me, I will slide you to death.

May: oh my god! Oh my god!

Nam: someone gets her!

Alice: yeah? I’m not scared of you.

Jess: I am serious.

Alice:… okay. Joy you go.

Joy: aren’t you saying that you’re not scared of her.

Alice: PEOPLE CHANGE! NOW YOU HANDLE HER.

Jess: Move!
Hans: Jess stop this!

May: arghh arghhhh

(Joy fights Jess)

Jess: I won’t forget this. I won’t forgive yall. Let me go. Let me go. Alice you bitch! I will come
to you!

May: Are you okay, lice?

Alice: I am fine.

May: I’m sorry for saying bad stuff to you. I knew it was jess all along.

Joy: hmm. Yeah yeah you are right.

Nam: Hans is sending Jess to the police.

May: bad person like her should be punished! Aw alice, let’s check you out to the hospital.

(they are all leaving the classroom)

The incident is so big to the point that the whole faculty knows about it. After, jess was
sending to the police. The police stated that Jess is having a mental disorder. Jess has bipolar
disorder that makes her becoming so harsh and temperament. The theater club was hiatus for a
month and the show was delayed until the situation becoming calm. From the story that we are
delivering, we want to tell the important of not judging the book by its cover. Just because
someone looks bad in our opinion it doesn’t mean their personalities are bad too. Do not just see
what you want to see. You should know the truth first so that your view is not like a drama in
drama.
