I. Introduction.

Being physically and aesthetically perfect in terms of

beautification is indeed a requisite in this age, if you don’t possess any of those. You
will get be easily judge. Because physical features is one of the many components that
build up a self-esteem. Everyone aims to be physically attractive parallel with their
idols. Indeed “beauty is in the eye of a certain beholder; and public opinions vary. To
be discriminate by your physical characteristics sure is everyone’s last wish, but do we
have control over them? We can’t go around there and tell people not to say
unacceptable things about how we look and worst is, our self-esteem is on stake
because people’s opinion about how we look might compromise.

Yes, Self-esteem exists in so many forms. Human beings tend to evaluate and examine
their selves, and if they found that are something lacking on their physical aspect they
will regenerate ways just to reinforce that missing piece they looking for. Appearance
management plays a vital role in impression formation. Sort of them, engaging to it,
because it decides whether he or she will leave an impact to others. Often times, facing
reality isn’t the easiest thing to do. Because everywhere you might went to. Will just
remind you of everything you’ve been to.

Diversity fooled us about discrimination. To the extent providing

us false and light shields for us to become good about it. If I have diabetes, I might die,
because of sugar coated thoughts came from various persons. However, low self-esteem
is constant companion for plenty people especially those who experience depression or
even anxiety. Generally, we all know that it affects our daily living. So what are going
to do? Do we need to undergo different surgeries just to become perfect? Or is there
any easy method to achieve it? NO.

You have a right to feel good about yourself. However, it can be very difficult to feel
good about yourself when you are under the stress of having symptoms that are hard to
manage, when you are dealing with a disability, when you are having a difficult time, or
when others are treating you badly. At these times, it is easy to be drawn into a
downward spiral of lower and lower self-esteem. For instance, you may begin feeling
bad about yourself when someone insults you, you are under a lot of pressure at work,
or you are having a difficult time getting along with someone in your family. Then you
begin to give yourself negative self-talk, like "I'm no good." That may make you feel so
bad about yourself that you do something to hurt yourself or someone else, such as
getting drunk or yelling at your children.

As we go deeper on this study. We will focus on certain issue

about teenagers that also getting discrimination towards their look, also we want to help
out those people and ourselves that are struggling and still continuing building up self-
esteem despite of society’s discriminations.

Self-esteem relates to how much you like yourself, and how you recognize or appreciate
your individual character, qualities, skills, and accomplishments. Like body image, self-
esteem can also be based on how you think other people look at you as a person. People
who have low self-esteem may not always feel confident about themselves or how they
look. It is often hard for them to see that they are an important and capable person.
People with positive self-esteem often have a confident attitude about their body and
mind, and can recognize their strengths as well as personal value and worth.

Most people feel bad about themselves from time to time. Feelings of low self-esteem
may be triggered by being treated poorly by someone else recently or in the past, or by a
person's own judgments of him or herself. This is normal. However, low self-esteem is a
constant companion for too many people, especially those who experience depression,
anxiety, phobias, psychosis, delusional thinking, or who have an illness or a disability.
If you are one of these people, you may go through life feeling bad about yourself
needlessly. Low self-esteem keeps you from enjoying life, doing the things you want to
do, and working toward personal goals.

Many factors influence students’ self-esteem and these factors affect their behavior and
achievement. Having low or high self-esteem influences students positively or
negatively. Developed in early childhood with successes or failures, trust, and positive
and negative experiences, self-esteem plays an important role in life. Self-esteem
guides behavior, motivation, attitude, and is an indicator of academic success
(Baumeister, Campbell, Kreuger, & Vohs, 2003). Educators are a major influence on
young children and the development of their self-esteem which is a predictor of success
later in life. Educators must recognize and nurture the role of self-esteem within their
classrooms.

Self-image should be based on what we see inside. Remind

yourself of the true basis of your personal identity. And that’s something that you need
to work for. Do not let them see only your outward appearance. Rehearse the fact that
the most vital part of your life is the part that only God see’s. His deepest concern is
about the inner you. True beauty is inner beauty, and it shouldn’t diminish but deepens
as you grow older. Accepting your reality can make you happier in the present and will

Lead to a better future. To fully accept your reality, it’s important to acknowledge any

Role you may have played good or bad, in getting where you are. Ask yourself in
related to your current situation to help work towards solutions. Do not let pressure eat
you. Just be yourself and do everything in process. Just be yourself, because that is the
only strongest weapon you could ever have.
