File > Open or File > Save As Crash:

Disable Thumbnails
Problem
Thumbnail display is causing Mastercam to crash in the File > Open or File > Save As dialog.

Cause
Microsoft Office product thumbnails are causing Mastercam dialogs to crash.

Solution
Enable the Always show icons, never thumbnails checkbox in Windows Folder Options.

1. Open File Explorer. <Windows Key><E> is the keyboard shortcut.

2. Click the View tab in File Explorer.

3. Click the Options button in the ribbon bar.

4. Click the View tab in Folder Options.

5. Enable the Always show icons, never thumbnails checkbox.

6. Click the Apply to Folders button.

7. When the Do you want all folders of this type to match this folder's view settings? prompt appears,

select Yes.

8. Click Apply.

This will disable thumbnails of all files system wide, but still allows the preview pane to work if a file is selected. Note that this can
still cause a crash if you specifically choose to view Office files by clicking one to generate the preview.
