CHAPTER III

METHODOLOGY

This chapter presents the methods used in the study. A comprehensive discussion

on how the data was obtained, validated, and treated is presented herein.The proponents

discuss the research design, research locale, sampling, research instrument, data

gathering procedure and the statistical treatment of the data appropriate on the study.

The overall chapter contributes thorough details of what the researchers will do in

completing the study and to how information and data are generated from the

respondents.

3.1 Research Design

In this portion of the research proposal, the proponents of the study will use the

descriptive research design in conducting the study, specifically questionnaire in order to

accomplish the purpose of this research. The said research design will be used to further

evaluate the responses of the respondents based on the questions formulated by the

researchers.
3.2 Research Locale

The study will be conducted in Saint Joseph College of Sindangan Incorporated

located in Poblacion, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte. The place was suitable for the

study because this is where the respondents and researchers were enrolled.

3.3 Sampling

In choosing the respondents of the study, the proponents should not be biased

and choose it in an ethical way in order to gather the best and precise information abot

the “Education: A Unique Socializing Agent”. The 1st year Bachelor of Science in

Accountancy (BSA) students will serve as the respondents of the study. In choosing the

respondents the use of random sampling were employed.

3.4 Research Instruments

The questionnaires was the main instrument to be used in this study. It was

composed of the following parts: in Part I, the introductory page in terms of the title of

the study, purpose of the study, duration of the study / length of the questions or

statements to be answered and guarantee of confidentiality; in Part II, the demographic

profile of the respondents in terms name (optional), age and gender and in Part III, the

expression of thanks to the respondents as an accomplishment of answering the

questionnaires.

Questionnaire for this study was personally made by the proponents of this study.

Prior to the preparation of the instrument, the researchers endeavored to read several

references like books, magazines, journals and make use of the internet materials.
