Thermopylae
The Defense of Donetsk Airport by Ukrainian military lasted for eight long months. The defenders of the
Airport became known worldwide as “cyborgs” because of their resilience and selfless sacrifice while
completing combat missions. Ukraine Crisis Media Center honors the heroes – the new infographic tells
the story of the airport defenders.
