    Hari ini saya ingin share tentang 5 tips untuk meningkatkan
    penulisan artikel ilmiah atau academic writing untuk paper jurnal
    ataupun conference.

    Ada 5 hal poin sebagai berikut :


    1. Dilarang menggunakan contractions
    jangan menggunakan singkatan :
    don't, can't, shouldn't, couldn't, wouldn't, isn't,

    tetapi sebaiknya gunakan do not, can \not should not, could not, would
    not, is not
    2. Hindari There is/There are
    Ini harus di hindari karena menyebabkan kalimat yang tidak efektif,
    contoh:There are many issues that students face at university
    Seharusnya
    Students face many issues at university
    There are many development project that the UN support
    seharusnya
    The UN support many development projects
    3. Hindari Really, Very, A lot
    Many students think university is very hard
    seharusnya
    Many students think university is difficult
    A lot of time is wasted
    seharusnya
    Much time is wasted
    4. Passive voice Vs Active voice
    Penggunaan passive voice yang berlebihan tidak disarankan. Gunakan
    sebagian besar active voice, contoh:
    Healthcare reforms were implemented by obama
    seharusnya
    Obama implemented healthcare reforms
    5. Gunakan Strong Verb
    Tips ini telah dibagikan pada postingan sebelumnya. Weak verb
    menyebabkan kalimat tidak efektif dan terkesan bertele tele, contoh :

    We conducted an investigation

    seharusnya
    We investigated
