This study examines the effect of using the scientific approach with Numbered Heads Together (NHT) grouping on the mathematics learning outcomes of 8th grade students in SMP Negeri 5 Kendari, Indonesia. The study used an experimental research design with a sample of 67 students split into an experimental class of 34 students that used the scientific approach with NHT grouping, and a control class of 33 students that used only the scientific approach. Data was collected through teacher and student observation sheets and mathematics tests. The results showed that the experimental class had higher teacher performance, student engagement, and average mathematics learning outcomes compared to the control class. Statistical analysis also revealed a significant influence of using the scientific approach with NHT grouping on student mathematics

La Ode Ibrahim (A1C1 14 028). "The Effect of Scientific Approaches With
Numbered Heads Together (NHT) Grouping Against Mathematics Learning Outcomes of Class VIII Students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari". Supervised by Drs. Suhar, M.Kes. (Supervisor I) and Dr. Muhammad Sudia, M.Pd (Advisor II). This research is an experimental research. This study aims: (1) To describe the activities of teachers and students in following learning using the Scientific approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together; (2) To describe the activities of teachers and students in following learning using the Scientific approach; (3) To describe the mathematics learning outcomes of students taught using the Scientific approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together in class VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari; (4) To describe the results of learning mathematics students taught using the Scientific approach in class VIII SMP Negeri 5 Kendari; (5) To analyze the effect of the Scientific approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together to the mathematics learning outcomes of students in class VIII of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari. The population in this study were all eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 5 Kendari consisting of 11 parallel classes. Determination of the sample is done by purposive sampling technique. The sample of this study consisted of 67 students, which were divided into two study groups, namely class VIIIF as an experimental class totaling 34 students and class VIIID as a control class totaling 33 students. Data obtained using instruments in the form of observation sheets of teacher and student activities, and tests of student mathematics learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques using descriptive statistics and inferential statistics. The results of the study descriptively and inferentially showed that: (1) the percentage of success in the management of experimental class learning by teachers was 70.59%, 82.35%, 82.35%, and 94.12%, while the percentage of activeness levels consecutive students are 70.59%, 82.35%, 76.47%, and 94.12%; (2) The percentage of the level of feasibility of learning by teachers in the control class were 64.71%, 76.47%, 70.59%, and 88.24%, while the percentage of the level of student activity successively was 64.71% , 76.47%, 70.59% and 70.59%; (3) The average mathematics learning outcomes of students learning using the Scientific approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together is 76.76; (4) The average mathematics learning outcomes of students learning using the Scientific approach are 65.89; (5) There is a significant influence on the use of the Scientific approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together to student mathematics learning outcomes. Keywords: Scientific Approach by grouping Numbered Heads Together (NHT); Mathematical Learning Outcomes.
