 Algae are eukaryotes that can synthesize their own food through photosynthesis.

Therefore
there is no need for them to parasitize other organsms.
 In fact, if they invade another organism, chances are they won't be able to photosynthesize
due to lack of light, and they will simply die from starvation.
 Algae are more independent since they are autotrophs, whereas fungi and many bacteria
are heterotrophic and depend on ready made organic molecules - eg. pathogens being
parasitic on the host and causing disease.
 Fungi and bacteria live off of things similar and identical to ourselves. Algae are
plants.
