ROBOTIC PROCESS AUTOMATION

Course Code : T 402 Credit Units : 01


Course Objective:
1. To gain knowledge and skills in the areas of “Robotic process automation” and its
applicability in business process, trends and capabilities.
2. The student should be able to identify automation opportunity in different business
functional processes and develop models of RPA operation and maintenances.
Course Outcomes (Management):
1. Students will be able to demonstrate insightful knowledge and skills in areas of business
processes for front & back offices, basics of AI & RPA, metrics for process improvement,
process automation, RPA trends, AA RPA capabilities, roles in RPA projects and business
benefits of RPA.
2. Students will be able to understand application of RPA in different industries like IT,
healthcare, banking etc. and perform activities like translating business needs in to RPA
program, RPA program management, RoI models, RPA project management
perspectives for BOTs development & testing, RPA operations & maintenance and
Change management.
Course Content:
Unit 1-Intoduction to Core Business Processes & process management: Topics covered in this
unit will include:
1. Introduction to business process management (BPM), front & back office systems, use
of IT on BPM, role of metrics in continuous quality improvement.
2. Artificial intelligence technology drivers, introduction to AA RPA, AA RPA product
capabilities, RPA trends & business benefits.
3. AA RPA applications in different industries like banking, IT, healthcare.
4. Typical life cycle of AA RPA implementation in enterprises.
5. eLearning module on analyzing RPA business requirements.

5. Student project on AA RPA adoption case study and presentation/ demo.
6. AA RPA benefits management & change management.
