No Procedure Instructions to be followed


1. Receiving the patient and A. Welcome the patient with warm greetings in a pleasing

done.

4. Positioning the patient A. Choose the most comfortable position with the treatment
part or the side to be treated to be exposed better.
B. Ask the examiner about the side to be treated.
C. Choose the right position(Lying, sitting, pronelying)
according to the technique was given by examiner
D. Cover the patient and expose the suitable area properly.
E. Confirm the privacy of the patient and their comfort.

5. Instruction to the patient A. Advise the patient to let the therapist know if they feel
anything discomfort.
B. Explain the procedure to be done.
C. Request the cooperation from the patient before starting
the procedure.
6. Demonstration A. Explain the type of the procedure, therapist position,
 Technique fixation, stabilization, support, relaxed position,
 Speed & Rhythm placement of hand.
B. Never skip the contact and continuity with the patient
throughout the procedure.
C. Follow the magnitude and frequency required for the
respective technique.
7. Effects and uses of the A. Explain the physiological and therapeutic effects of
technique chosen particular technique.
B. Explain the significance of the techniques regarding to the
indication.
C. Explain about the contraindications for the technique
given.
8. Anatomy A. Review the knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the
given treatment part.(Refer ANNEXURE - 4)
9. Home program A. Instruct the patient to do the exercises taught in the
therapy session. Eg. active stretching at home
B. Advice the patient regarding dos and don’ts. (Refer
ANNEXURE - 6)
