MEASURED PIECE OF LAND

Objectives
 To know how to measure distance
 To be able to compute/know the area on piece of land using measure tape

Equipments/Tools Needed
 Bamboo spike
 Fish net
 Hammer
 Leveling hose
 Meter tape

Discussion
The students were task to gather a large piece of land at Colegio De Muntinlupa grounds. Use
the bamboo sticks to mark every end point and connect it using fish net to close up the area with
the help of levelling host for the elevation. After that measure the length of each sides using
meter tape. Make a triangle by connecting two points. Then compute for the area using the
formulas.
The pictures shows that we help each other to do the task given to us. But we can also see in the
picture that even if it’s hot and hard to do we really enjoy what we are doing.
Conclusion
In conclusion with this activity, we learned to compute for the area of a lot by using the
instrument listed above. By measuring the length of each sides and come up with a lot of
triangles, computing the area of each triangle using the formulas then add all the areas of triangle
to come up with the total area of the land. The actual experience really help us to foresee what
really happenings in the industry.

Recommendation
I recommend to the future surveyors to use the equipment’s properly and visualize the situations
like draw the land that they choose for them to make a triangle easily. And never forget to do it
with passion and enjoy what you’re doing.
