In our tour guiding class, the whole class were asking to do a travel vlog activity to comply for

our semi final examination. My groupmates and I chose Taal, Batangas as our destination. On
the 13th of September we went to Taal, Batangas to start our vlog. We went together with our
complete instruments that are needed for the activity. It includes the dslr camera, costumes,
scripts, extra clothes and so on. Our first attraction was L. Rivera, a famous balisong store. We
watched them how they carefully wipe the balisongs and compare the prices of it. It ranges from
200-1500 pesos. They recommended that we go to a balisong foundry which is just a walking
distance from there. When we reached the foundry, we found Mr. Reynaldo Carpoo. He is doing
great balisongs for 20 years now. He even let us see how the balisongs were made by actually
doing it in front of us. After a several questions about him and his work, we moved on to our
next attraction which is Taal Basilica Church. We didn't have enough time to video all the
important details inside as it it prohibited to do it without permit. After featuring the famous
Basilica Church, we headed to the public market to know more about their products to offer. In
visiting the town's market I can say that you can enjoy food and things Taal is known for;
empanada, longganisa, panutsa, suman, balisong, barong Tagalog, tapa, tamales, tawilis, and
tulingan. We bought some products that we use for mokbang segment to feature Taal's product.
After 4 hours shoot to 3 attractions, finally lunch time has came. We ate at Don Juan Boodle near
the public market. Our fourth attraction was Marcela Agoncillo Museum, former house of the
first Filipino diplomat Felipe Agoncillo and his wife Marcela Agoncillo. I always enjoy
everything about here every time I visit this museum. Besides they offer free entrance, the staffs
are also very hospitable and knowledgable about what they are saying. The next attraction we
visited is Sta. Lucia steps in Barrio Caysasay. I enjoyed mostly the miraculous well of Sta. Lucia
as I always admire wishing well whenever I visit a church for the first time. After featuring the
beauty of the town of Taal, we headed to our last stop which is Taal Maranan farmville which is
5 km away from the town's city. II am glad I had the chance to visit the game turned real-life
farm. They offer hotel rooms with owned pool and mini bar if your insist to stay overnight. Taal
Maranan proves that Taal is not only for city tour but you can also enjoy and get away from it if
you desire adventure or nature based type of weekend. We spent the rest of our afternoon here,
we enjoyed it by swimming together and taking so much photos. Overall, it was a great
experience for all the members of the group. Besides that we experience the timeless Taal, it also
gave us the opportunity to bond and make good relationship with each other. The most
interesting part of going around Taal town proper has to see the heritage houses that allow
tourists to travel back in time as their unique exquisiteness from the olden days was preserved for
the present generation to catch a glimpse of. Some of these heritage houses were turned into
museums, others into galleries; a couple of them were transformed into gift shops. But in
general, these heritage houses serve as concrete proofs of the rich cultural heritage passed on
from one generation to the succeeding one.
