 Report

This report is about what I explored in 15 weeks of professional year

with ECA. The journey of Professional year is a learning curve for me, as
skills and knowledge which I am learning helped me in my personal and
professional life. Further, I also learned many skills and gave immense
knowledge which I did not get in my previous university studies. In this
report I will discuss what I learnt, what I liked most and least and some
suggestions how ECA can improve course.

Firstly, in first week we had an interactive session where everyone

introduces themselves so that they can know more about a person.

Secondly, we had learned about Australian Culture and the diversity

they hold in Australia followed by communication, work structure,
leadership style and small talk and learned about WHS in the third
week. I had also focus on career objective and learned about building a
professional resume and had gained a lot of knowledge about grooming
and body language. My tutor gave us considerable information about
the do’s and don’ts of interviews that helped me immensely and now I
am more confident and will do much better in my future career
endeavours. He also emphasized on some important aspects about
resumes, which I was not taught in universities.

Thirdly, we also learned about innovation and brainstormed many other

uses of paperclips. Moreover, there was also presentation and I learned
a great deal about presentation skills, body language and audience
engagement.

However, the best part in past 14 weeks is the presentation which I

liked the most because I like giving presentations and the least is again
and again resubmitting assessments.

Finally, I am learning a lot from ECA because they are helping us to

shape our career and helping us to grow and learn more about
professional and personal skills. So, I don’t think the ECA course needs
any improvement
