Course Description
The course will touch on the behavior of gases in different conditions, the different types of biomolecules and their
structure, and the fundamental principles behind chemical reactions.
Course Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
 Do calculations using relationships provided by the gas laws and explain the relationship using the Kinetic
Molecular Theory
 Identify whether a biomolecule is a carbohydrate, lipid, protein, or nucleic acid
 Recognize the chemical reactions associated with biological and industrial processes affecting life and the
environment
