Certification by a qualified, independent third party to a national consensus standard (such as NFPA)
can be used to document individual skills proficiency as required by OSHA 1910.146 Permit‐Required OSHA’s Permit‐Required Confined Space Regulation
Confined Space Regulation. Roco’s certification programs are based on the guidelines and skills (1910.146) requires that team members practice
referenced in NFPA 1006 and 1670. at least once annually in the types of representative
spaces located in their response area. Classes at
RTC include all six confined space types.
