Introduction of Bosch :
History
The history of Bosch starts with many first steps. The step into independence, onto the
automotive market, into markets outside Germany, and onto the factory floor of major
manufacturing. In 1886, Robert Bosch opened a Workshop for Precision Mechanics and
Electrical Engineering in Stuttgart. The early years were beset with highs and lows, and it was
only from the mid-1890s on that things took off quickly and unstoppably.
Bosch performed all the precision mechanical and electrical engineering work that came his
way, such as installing telephone systems and electric bells, magneto ignition.
Robert Bosch. In 1898, he founded the first Bosch company outside Germany in London
together with the Englishman Frederic Simms.

Mobility Solutions :With the vision to make mobility as emissions-free, stress-free, and
accident-free as possible, and at the same time multimodal and personalized. Particular
strategic priorities include transforming the powertrain and expanding our business in the areas
of electrification, automated driving, new electrical and electronic architectures for vehicles.
Industrial Technology : The sector includes the Drive and Control Technology division, which
specializes in drive and control technology for efficient, powerful, and safe movement in
machines and systems of any type and size. In addition, the Bosch Connected Industry business
unit, which develops software solutions and carries out Industry 4.0 projects for internal and
external customers.
Consumer Goods : Its product portfolio ranges from washing machines and tumble dryers
through refrigerators and freezers, stoves and ovens, and dishwashers, to small appliances such
as vacuum cleaners, coffee makers, and food processors. Its Power Tools division is a supplier of
power tools, power-tool accessories, and measuring technology.
Energy and Building Technology : 1) the global product business for innovative security
communications solutions.
2) the regional integrator business. The latter offers solutions and customized services
Bosch has 460 subsidiaries and regional companies in over 60countires and regions - sales and services
partners in roughly 150 countires.

Bosch set foot in India as early as in 1922 , with a representative office in Calcutta( now
Kolkata) . in 1951 first regional subsidiary Mico was founded( By Raghunandan Saran ,
Bhailal C. Patel , K.C. Varma)
2001-2005 : 47 R&D enables technologies edge , also acquired Philips CSI business.
2004-2008 : IT operations expand with new facilities at Bangalore and Coimbatore.
2008 MICO becomes Bosch .
To meet the growing demand for the development of high-end technology from India,
the IT subsidiary inaugurated a new facility in Bangalore in January 2006. The new
facility has been used for both engineering and non-engineering activities since then.
