We live in an age flooded with ads, from posters on the sides of buses to commercials on TV. We

see advertisements every time we open a magazine or search a Web page on the Internet. All that

exposure has a notable effect, and the stakes are usually more than determining whether or not to

purchase a specific product. Women, in particular, can undergo some severe psychological effects

from the pervasive and subtle impacts of advertising directed at them.

I feel like models in Ads, and most of what society consume is unrealistic. They make it seem like

those women are perfect, and it just lowers the self-esteem of most young girls out there. I feel that

some personalities could be assertive role models, for both embracing individualistic character and

beauty. I think most individuals look towards their progenitors whether they like it or not.

However, several teenagers don’t have a father figure at home. When they lack guidance, young

men and women begin to get into trouble, and females get into negative relationships. There is a

feeling of being lost. As much as they hate to admit it, kids like expectations and boundaries,

without role models kids don’t have them.

Although it is hard to stop such advertisement techniques, avoiding societal issues requires that

parents be at the center of their kid’s development and provide guidance in order to avoid issues

like sexual exploitation, Nervosa and related eating disorders, ageism, consequent-free fantasies

and other effects that may arise due to such advertisement.
