Explain anything you know about ​runway​. The more information provided the maximum mark
will be given.
● Runway is place use by plane for landing and take off. Runway design depend on wind
flow at the place where the runway build. On runway there are some signs written
depend on dominant wind that represent in windrose. Length of runway depend on the
tipe of plane that landing on that runway, temperature, humidity, wind velocity etc.

Name all the aircraft characteristics that influence in designing airport. Please explain.
a. Aircraft size : bigger aircraft need more space or length of runway must be suit with the
size of aircraft that landing or take off on that runway.
b. Aircraft weight: more heavy an aircraft, more long runway needed to make aircraft take
off or landing
c. Aircraft speed: aircraft with fast acceleration need shorter runway to take off.
