Hello, my name is Steven Chambers, I am currently attending R.E. Mountain Secondary

School; I am in grade 12 This year as part of our graduation program requirements have changed
and we are required to do a capstone project. This a project that must be completed to graduate,
being able to do a Capstone project excites me. I have been interested in obtaining a degree in
kinesiology, being able to job shadow someone at your clinic will help me solidify that this may
be an option as a future career. Being able to observe a professional will help me solidify my
path on the way to becoming a kinesiologist and maybe even continue my education into a
doctor's degree in sports medicine.

Throughout my life I have always been told that my strongest attribute is my

communication, being able to connect with people and be able to discuss my values with them.
This has been useful in obtaining my level 2 Hockey Canada Official certification; and will also
be useful in helping clients as there may be many times I have to give bad advice in the future.
Being able to job shadow and communicate with your clinic will allow me to enhance the skill
sets that I may not have developed that are crucial for the job. A degree in kinesiology is a
difficult degree to obtain, a mentor at your clinic would help teach me the most effective path to
obtaining a degree and being successful in my future career. Studying science is hard and a
mentor that I would be able to contact whenever I need help, would allow me to be a step ahead
of everyone else that is interested in the field.

this project the connection between mentor and mentee must be ongoing, if you choose to mentor
me then we may be exchanging emails, texts, or even verbal communication would be valid. For
me to get credit for the job shadow capstone you must complete an evaluation, this evaluation
should only take maximum 15 minutes and will help both my teacher assess me as well as show
