Please know spelling and definitions of the words below that relate to what we will be learning on our field trip to the Ronald Reagan Library. Reading/Writing: We will continue the study of inventors and their inventions, with a deep dive **No new vocabulary words this week, but please into Garrett Morgan and The Wright Brothers. note the grammar skill will be tested on Friday. As a class, we will continue to search for the answer to our unit question: How do new and improved technologies meet societal needs?
Math: We will continue our work with fractions as we continue with Module 3. Please work on multiplication facts with your students – this is a foundation for making equivalent fractions.
Science: Life Science – we will continue our
science unit: Web of Life, where students will study food webs and systems, and see how everything on earth is connected. We will study Mystery 3 this week.
Social Studies: We will finish our Early
Explorers unit and move into Colonial America. To end our unit, we will write our second narrative essay on the Early Explorers. Reminders/Upcoming Events Grammar/ Writing: sentence structure, and Please note the early dismissal schedule for sentence types. parent conferences this week: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday – dismissal at 12:39pm. Tuesday is a regular schedule – dismissal at 1:23pm.
