Final Demonstration Teaching


Day 1 – March 8, 2018 (Thursday)

Our final demonstration teaching was done in two consecutive days and we the
seven Student teachers were divided, four student teachers on the first day and three
student teachers on the second day. And I was assigned to perform my final-demo
teaching on the first day.
On this day of our final-demo. I actually felt so nervous. Nervous because I don’t
know if I can execute the discussion properly and eventually pass it. But I said to myself
that I need to be relax and calm all the time and I also think that it is like a classroom set
up that no one is observing us. I’m the last student teacher that will be observing by the
panellist, so I have enough time to prepare myself and also my students.
When my turn comes, of course I feel so nervous and I think my voice is shaking.
But then, when I started speaking in front of everyone I manage myself to focus my
sight to my students to be able for me not to be distracted by the panellist. In the midst
of the discussion I don’t really feel any pressure and I’m now enjoying the moment with
my students, that’s the time when I tried looking at the panellist.
This picture was taken after my first activity for my students, where in my
students does the wellness dance for them to be energize and be active to the later part
discussion. So, in this picture we’re actually doing another activity which the
“Crossword”. This activity is a part of their review to our last lessons in third grading in
health.
This one was taken in midst of my discussion. As you can see in the picture one
of my students was standing and holding an illustration board. He was actually reporting
their group work or computation about the total annual cost of the smoker per year if
he/she use 1 pack, 2 packs, or 3 packs of cigarettes a week. Price varies depending on
the kind of cigarette that the smoker is using.
We are having an experiment in this picture. In that experiment we’re going to
see the three kinds of smoke produce by cigarette and we also see the chemical
contents of cigarette which is the cause of different diseases after the experiment.
In this photo my students are actually doing or let me say performing their
advocacy material about the cause and effect of smoking cigarette. There are four
advocacy material. The group 1 picks poster making, the group 2 picks jingle making,
the group 3 picks news reporting, while the group 4 that is on the picture picks role
playing as their advocacy material.
I haven’t finish the discussion about the analysis, generalization and evaluation
to my students because it was overtime. But even though I never get a chance to finish
those content in my lesson plan I can say that my lesson proper or the whole discussion
runs very well as it planned to be. And I know that my students learned a lot from me.
So I made it! I have PASSED my Final-Demonstration Teaching.

When I’m done with my final-demo, I also helped my co-student teachers with the
dishes that needs to be wash and I also helped the second batch of student teacher
with their instructional materials.
Day 2 – March 9, 2018 (Friday)

In second day we are assigned to the food of the panellist and helping the
second batch with their instructional materials. Of course we are hoping that we are all
going to pass the final-demo and we did.
This picture was taken after ma’am Krishna is done with her demo. We are
actually having a group picture every after a demo. We are all happy in this picture
because ma’am Krishna have passed her final-demo.
We all passed our Final-Demonstration Teaching. But we will never do that
without the guidance of our Critic Teachers. Special thanks to my CT Sir Alvin Joseph
Serrano. Thank you for being so calm every time and for guiding me all the way. And
thank you to our Dear God for giving us the wisdom, strength and the courage that we
all need to pass our demo. And also to our panellist for telling us the things that we need
to improve to make our classroom better in every way.
The whole experience was really great and I am truly blessed enough having
these experiences. I have learned a lot of things as well as the aspects, characteristics
and attitude that the real teacher must possess and always remember. Sooner or later I
will become a real teacher and will be handling my own class so all of these learning will
be beneficial for me as soon as I enter the real world of teaching. I promise to apply all
the things that I have learned from this demo-teaching and be a very good transmitter of
knowledge. And also nurture not only the mind of my students but also their moral.

CHAPTERS 1 TO 15 OF FIELD STUDY 7 MANUAL SUMMARY

In practice teaching handbook and portfolio will explain the expectations of my


cooperating teacher education institution and my cooperating school. This activity will
also give me the chance to better understand the expectations of my cooperating. It
showcases the different facilities and learning resources of my cooperating school by
visiting places in my cooperating school will enable to utilize these resources to make
the teaching –learning process more meaningful.
This portfolio will give the chance to acquaint myself with the needs, interest and
abilities of my learners. Being aware of these features will equip me with the greater
knowledge and understanding to ensure quality instruction. Getting acquainted with
these routines will ensure a very organized, systematic and orderly classroom.
They will teach you how to plan and write a lesson plan in my cooperating school and
you will apply all the theories I learned in my teacher education institution. Explore the
wonders and significance of instructional materials to enrich the teaching – Learning
process. These devices will assist me to improve student’s knowledge abilities and
skills. The opportunity to be part of this pre-service to my cooperating teacher by
helping him/her in designing and structuring the bulletin board that will surely help in
making the classroom have a more conducive atmosphere for learning.
As a student intern first you will familiarize the different school forms that I need to know
so that when I am already in the field, I will be able to accomplish them properly,
accurately and legibly. This enables me to experience the different attitude of the
students you will establish better rapport with the other members of the school.
Participating in the different activities in my cooperating school will help you to develop
and strengthen my responsibility, resourcefulness, creativity, teamwork, unity and
cooperation with the different sectors of the school community. Giving me all these
opportunities will help me develop my personal and professional competencies.
This learning handbook and portfolio is the culmination of my practicum experience.
This allows me to showcase all the things I learned from my teacher education
institution, cooperating school, cooperating teacher and practicum supervisor. This will
also give me the opportunity to apply the theories I learned into practice. You will
prepare all the forms and other things need to accomplish before I leave my cooperating
school. This will allow me to have a gracious exit and to be able to submit all the
requirements I need to submit to my cooperating teacher.
