Dear Parent/Carer,

Whole School Charity Drive: Children in Need

As part of a national appeal by the UK based charity Children in Need, we will be hosting a series
of events this week in order to raise money to tackle issues, such as child poverty in the UK. You

Students will learn about the work Children in Need do through upcoming House assemblies and
during Tutor Times. They will be able to participate in activities which will give them the
opportunity to donate money and raise awareness.

• Wednesday 13 November: Staff vs Students Debate Mate competition in the Main Hall.
Students will be invited to offer a donation to watch the debate. This event will run from
3.15 – 4.00pm.
• Friday 15 November: Staff vs Students table tennis competition. Students will be invited
to compete in a table tennis match against their teachers. This event will be held during
lunchtime.

Each form will also have a collection cup where students can donate their spare change. All
donations, no matter how small, will be warmly welcome.

Last year’s charity events raised over £1200 towards good causes. We thank you for your
ongoing support and donations towards these appeals.
