Transcript:
Exam cheats
More students are cheating. How?
Do you cheat in exams?
Last year in the UK, teachers found 4,400 school students who cheated in exams.
In 2009, more students cheated than in 2008. Why do more students cheat now?
Students have got mobile phones and MP3 players. Now, you can use your phone to go on the
Internet. If a student wants to cheat, they can try to bring their phone or MP3 player into the exam
and listen to answers.
Of course, you mustn’t take mobile phones into exams: “You have to put all your things in a clear
bag and leave your phone at the front,” says Daisy, a school girl from London, “…but you can hide
a phone if you try.”
Only a few students cheat. Most students do not cheat. Cheating only happens in 0.03% of exams.
