Course Title : Construction Management

1: Scope of the Course:


The scope of the course is to know the critical management aspects of construction activities on and off the
site. The overview of a typical building construction and the infrastructure construction will be given an
emphasis in this course. The course is intended for the Higher Degree students and hence a discussion on the
actual tender documents during the lecture classes. Critical aspects of construction activity and the choices to
be made by the builder and owner are also discussed conceptually. The course will also provide an
opportunity to students to numerically experience some of the trademark construction complexities.
