THE PROBLEM AND IT’S BACKGROUND

Some of the heritage sites in Taal had stood for hundreds years. Because of the oldness of

these building, some of them had undergone to modernization. In line with this, the researchers

would like to know if this modernization had affected the safety of the people who are visiting the

heritage sites. It is very important to know if the modernization adds to the safety of these heritage

sites because this places are now tourist’s spots that are being visited by tourists coming from

different places. Because safety is always first, these buildings should secure the safety of its

visitors though they are build long time ago. The research that will be conducted will help to make

recommendation plan for the heritage sites to secure the safety of the tourists.

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The study entitled “Assessment on the Heritage Modernization and Safety of Tourists in Taal:

Basis for Recommendation Plan” aims to discover the Safety of Tourists about the Heritage

Modernization in Taal, Batangas.

a. What is the assessment of tourist in the Heritage Modernization in Taal, Batangas?

b. What is the level of safety of the Modernized Tourist Spots in Taal, Batangas?

c. Is there a significant relationship between the Assessment on the Heritage Modernization

and Safety of Tourist in Taal?

d. What output can be devised to improve the assessment on the

Heritage Modernization and Safety of Tourist in Taal?

METHODOLOGY

The researchers used descriptive research design to know the relationship between the

Assessment of the Heritage Modernization and Safety of Tourists by the tourists of Taal. The

descriptive research design it describes the data and characteristics of about the population. It is
used for frequencies, averages and other statistical calculations. The respondents of the study are

the tourists who go to the selected areas like Marcela Agoncilllo Museum, Leon Apacible

Museum, Galleria Taal, Paradores del Castillo and Taal Basilica. The instrument used is a

questionnaire which is validated by the their teachers. The questionnaires are about Heritage

Modernization and Safety of Tourist, it includes the scales and verbal interpretation of the two

variables. The researchers used also a statistical treatment, the mean, frequency, percentag, and

the pearson-r moment of correlation.
