1 Function:
The Disaster Management kit allows a quick and easy cabin reconfiguration to
transport up to three stretchers laid in across position to the flight direction.
2 Description:
The medical interior is constructed in light weight high tensile aluminium compound. It
can be installed in less than 20 minutes onto the basic cabin seat attachments and
does not require any modification of the helicopter structure or floor.
Depending on the cabin configuration, this interior provides a transport capability for
either:
Two patients and six passengers
Three patients and four passengers
Three rescue stretchers designed for Air Emergency Service and usable for
evacuation operation such as Road accidents, Mountain rescue or inter hospital
flight. To secure the patient during flight, the stretcher is fitted with a four point
restraint system equipped with inertia reels for the shoulder harnesses and rotary
buckle for quick release.
Note: Depending on the supplier and the helicopter configuration, all the elements
of the system may be modified or relocated. Thus the pictures and
illustrations are not contractual and provided for information only.
A seat adapter is installed with special aircraft fitting to the cabin floor attachments.
It contains seat rails to install the standard double seat bench for medical
attendants.
A medical equipment carrier attached by quick locks fitted to the medical floor. It is
fitted with nine soft pocket storages, a waste bin and a IV-Hook for 4 infusions.
Notes:
The medical carrier is provided without the medical devices that shall be purchased separately
according to customer’s needs.
When the medical floor is fitted in the rear section, the seat adapter is not provided. The medical
attendants are using the rear standard seats.
4 Additional information:
The EMS kit does not affect the aircraft flight performance. Therefore the regulatory
performance data specified in the Basic Flight Manual and in the Supplements used
remain applicable.
