Air Ambulance Technology’s EMS kit for 1 patient is a very verstaile EMS kit, built in a modular
system. All the equipment is installed on Air Ambulance Technology’s medical floor, which is
attatched to the original helicopter seat tracks and the original helicopter fixings situated in the
helicopter cieling. The whole kit can be installed, and removed within approximately 10 minutes.

Air Ambulance Technology’s EMS kit for 2 patients is designed to carry 2 patients requiring
intensive care treatment. It provides transport capability for up to two lying patients in the flight
direction and up to 2 medical crew depending on the mission requirements.
The medical crew seats, medical carrier and the medical cabinet are installed on the medical floor,
which can be installed in to the helicopter without any structural changes within approximately 20
minutes.

Medical Floor

Air
Ambulance
Technology’s specially
designed “Medical Floor” is made
of lightweight aluminium and can be
installed and removed within just a few minutes.
It hold all fixing points for the crew seats (depending on

oxygen station, and medical carrier. The medical floor can be quickly
and easily removed when cleaning and disinfection is required.

Medical Carrier

The lightweight medical carrier is made


of aluminium and other lightweight
materials. It is integrated into the EMS
Kit, and installed on the medical floor and
original helicopter fixtures mounted in
the ceiling. The medical carrier can be
fully customized with medical devices
according to the operator’s needs.

• Retainers for ventilation, monitor
– defibrillator, suction unit, infusion
pumps, soft pockets.
• Patient lights.
• Built in oxygen and electrical lines.
• Holds all important oxygen controls.
• Medical equipment can be easily
removed, making “out of aircraft
treatment” easier when necessary.

Medical Cabinet

Medical Cabinet

The medical cabinet is made of lightweight


aluminium and installed on the recessed
seat tracks of the medical floor using Air
Amulance Technology’s “Quick Change
Technology” The medical cabinet consists
of 3 drawers and has place on top to hold a
cooling box, or another medical device such
as a defibrillator or respirator. A medical
waste bin can also be installed on front of
the cabinet.

• Easy glide drawers secured with retainers.
• Ampule holder.
• Top tray to install a cooling box or another
medical device.
• Removable drawer boxes for easy cleaning
and disinfection.
• Torch with holder.
• Soft pockets.
• Optional: Insulated bottom drawer for warm
infusions.

Medical Power
Distribution Unit
Medical devices are powered by internal
battery packs for independent operation from
1/2 to 6 hours. For charging battery packs
or to take medical devices without battery
packs into operation, the medical power
distribution unit is installed on the medical
equipment carrier. It distributes the electrical
power from the helicopter to several medical
devices.

Locker System

The locker systems are used to secure the stretcher into place during flight. Theycan be lowered with 1 hand for
easy loading and unloading and snap back into place when in the upright position. Whilst in the lowered position,
the locker system lies flat in the recess in the EMS floor. (where applicable) The aft locker system is in a fixed
position for easy stretcher guidance during the loading procedure.

• The locker systems can be lowered ensuring easy patient loading and unloading.
• The locker systems are made of aluminium and steel, and are installed either directly on to the medical floor or
are pre-installed on the medical floor.
• The locker systems snap automatically back in to place when moved in to the upright position.

“Blue Matress” Stretcher

The lightweight and foldable stretcher “Blue


Matress” is specially designed for helicopter patient
tansport. The stretcher is fixed in locker systems,
which are installed on the medical floor.

Stretcher “Blue Matress”

• Lightweight aluminium design integrally milled and hard coated.


• Tested in compliance with EASA requirements.
• Rigid anodized aluminium frame, covered with aluminium panels.
• Castor wheels for easy loading / unloading and manoeuvrability in the helicopter.
• The back and headrest can be tilted from 0 – 80º (continuously variable).
• Four point restraint with automatic retractor, independent release of shoulder harness.
• Leg restraint with quick release push-button buckle.
• Pins fwd. and aft to fasten the stretcher in the locker systems.

Foldable “Rescue” Stretcher


The foldable “Rescue” stretcher is specially designed as a lightweight strecher for HEMS missions.
The stretcher is fixed in locker systems which are attached to the seat rails of the the medical floor.
Special pins are mounted on the stretcher to allow easy fixation during flight.

• The back section is continuously adjustable.


• Rigid anodized aluminum frame, covered with aluminium panels
• Sectional mattress for rescue stretcher to maintain the patient in comfort position
• Four point restraint with automatic retractor and independent release of shoulder harness.
• Leg restraint with quick release push-button buckle.
• Castor wheels support the stretchers loading/unloading procedure.

“Comfort” Stretcher
• Light weight aluminum design, integrally milled and hard coated.
• Stretcher in compliance with EASA requirements.
• Rigid anodized aluminum frame, reinforced with aluminium panels.
• Castor wheels for easy loading / unloading and manouverability in the helicopter.
• Using gas springs, the back rest is continuously variable from flat, to the sitting position, and the foot rest from
comfortable, to the shock position.
• Four point restraint with automatic retractor, independent release of shoulder harness.
• 5 piece, easy washable anti-dekubitus mattress, allowing perfect patient positioning, and reducing the chance of sores.
• Optional armrests allow a more comfortable patient transfer.
• Leg restraint with quick release push-button buckle.

Stretcher with “Undercarriage”


• Lightweight aluminium design integrally milled and hard coated.
• Tested in compliance with EASA requirements.
• Rigid anodized aluminium frame, covered with aluminium panels.
• Quick fold mechanism, enabling the stretcher to be rolled directly in to the helicopter.
• Large wheels for easy loading / unloading and manoeuvrability in and out of the helicopter.
• The back and headrest can be tilted from 0 – 80º (continuously variable).
• Four point restraint with automatic retractor, independent release of shoulder harness.
• Leg restraint with quick release push-button buckle.
• Easy washable, 3 piece anti-decubitus mattress. Avoids patient skin pressure sores.

“Intensive” Stretcher

Oxygen Station
The oxygen station is designed to carry
three oxygen cylinders. It is made of
anodized high tensile aluminum and
aluminium sheeting. It is designed
and built using AAT‘s “quick change
technology”, and is fixed to the recessed
seat rails in the medical floor.

The Oxygen System feeds the advanced


life support devices (inhalation and
ventilation) with medical oxygen. It
incorporates three light weight oxygen
cylinders (aluminum /carbon) each
having a capacity of 4,7 liters at 200 bar.
