Safety rule
◆ GEMSS Co, Ltd designs and builds this instrument complying with
related safety requirement.
Only the authorized personnel can remove the covers and/or have access to
the components under tension.
3. Before cleaning the device, please disconnect it from the line voltage
Cooling down the storing heating at a radioactivity origin, must follow the
described use cycles.
WARNING: Though the X-ray quantity supplied by radioactivity units is quite low and
distributed on a small surface, the operator must adopt the precautions and fit
protections for the patient and himself, during the execution of radiography. It is
advisable to control the X-ray emission from a protected area, by means of a
remote control. If it is necessary to operate near the patient, stay as far as the
cable of the remote control allows it, or at least 2m far both from the X-ray source
and from the patient.
Electronic safety
● Make sure all the connecting terminals(collimator, high voltage cable, bulky, and etc.) are
properly connected.
● Make sure the system's grounding is perfectly done. (If the grounding is imperfect, there
may be noise.)
WARNING: Through this unit has been designed with a quite acceptable protection
level from electromagnetic interferences, it is advisable to install it a certain
distance from electrical energy transformation chambers, from
Uninterruptible Power Supply(UPS) units, from portable
receiving-transmitting units.
Mobile telephones are only admitted at a distance of more than 1,5 m from
any component if the device.
Other medical instruments and devices that must be used in the same
installation area of the unit must comply the Electromagnetic Compatibility
rules in force.
The device contains in some of its parts, materials and liquids that at the end of the units
life, must be disposed of at the fit disposal centers.
WARNING: Part dismantle of the instrument must performed by the staff of GEMSS
Co, Ltd or qualified technicians authorized personnel COEMD Co, Ltd or
the agent is not responsible for the displacement of the device performed
by the user and for the related costs.

2 Introductions
This manual is made for using instrument safe and rightly. This manual not respect changing
the running mode and safety from external damage to instrument.
This high frequency inverter type of the photo/imaging system is operated by the built-in
operation program. It is comfortably designed to satisfy the operator's comfort as well as to
enhance the efficiency and the quality of X-ray. Operator can easily select or change the
necessary conditions for necessary photographs/images.
(1) This manual is made for operating instrument safe and rightly
(3) Read this manual carefully before using the instrument. Keep this manual closely
for referring later.
(4) EVA HF325/525 is a radioactivity medical instrument and using under the medical
management. So it needs the authorized person who has the know-how about the
X-ray.
(5) High voltage generating circuit provides stable X-ray out put with little radiation
through rectifying electric wave method.
(6) X-ray tube system is made in rotary bipolar method which uses two foci(small focus
1.0mm/ large focus 2.0mm) to enhance its durability.
(7) Control panel consists of x-ray controller and communication cable. So it can dealt
the X-Ray irradiation and control from the long distance. LCD display allows the
operator to irradiate at best X-ray irradiating conditions.
(8) Table and stand are connected into one single unit. Therefore, no extra stand rail
work is needed. Table moves in four directions to provide easy-positioning.
(10) X-ray Controlling device and high voltage radiation device are all built in one unit.
Therefore, it is easy to convey and possible to install even in a small space.
(11) PSU(POWER STORAGE UNIT) does not need much power and works efficiently
under 2kW~3kW. Therefore, you could reduce electricity rate and save electricity cost.
(PSU OPTION)
(8) Wide selecting modes allow the operator to combine and create various working
conditions.

AC input voltage is converted into DC voltage by a single-phase all wave rectifier circuit. This
DC voltage is inverted in high-frequency voltage of about 20kHz by IGBT inverter.
The high-frequency voltage is converted into the 40 (+20kV/-20kV) to 125kV (+62.5kV/-62.5kV)
DC high voltage by a high-voltage transformer and the multi-voltage rectifier circuit. This DC high
voltage is supplied to an X-ray tube through a high-voltage cable, and PWM INV controls this
X-ray tube voltage. Modulating the Filament voltage controls the tube current.
.
The operation panel can operate selection in each mode of operation and control, selection and
setting of conditions. These operation conditions are transmitted by the communication system
from OP-CONT to HT-CONT.
HT-CONT controls the output of a high-voltage generator according to the
Instructions from OP-CONT.

Safety Precautions
Meaning of Signal Words
The following signs will be used to emphasize the details that need special
attention.
CAUTION Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result
in minor or moderate injury.
CAUTION Indicates a potentially hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result
in property damage.
In addition to the above, the signal word NOTE is used to indicate other important information.
NOTE Indicates reference information that enables more efficient use of the
equipment.
2. Safety Precautions
When operating this equipment, observe the precautions described below to ensure safety of
the operator and service personnel.
DANGER: This system is not of the explosion-proof type. Do not use flammable
gases such as anesthetic gas or flammable liquids such as methanol
near the system. Doing so may cause an explosion or fire.
If such gases or liquids must be used, open windows or take
necessary preventive measures to ensure adequate ventilation.
3. W hen turning the power of the system ON/OFF during work, be sure
to inform co-workers and receive confirmation from them.
8. If the power of the system is turned OFF without logging off from the
system, some of the data being processed may be lost or the PC may
malfunction.
10. Special care is required to ensure that feet or other objects are not
caught during operation.
13. Do not pour liquids such as water or detergent on the floor. If liquid
is spilled on the system or liquid enters the cable pit, a malfunction
may occur.
14. Turn OFF the power of the system before cleaning or disinfection.
If the power is left ON, a malfunction or an accident may occur. Entry
of liquids such as disinfectant, detergent, or water into the system
may result in an electric shock or explosion.
15. After disinfection, ventilate the room sufficiently before turning ON the
power. If any flammable gas remains in the room, there is danger of a
fire or explosion when the power is turned ON.
18. Be sure to turn OFF the power of the system and of the facility before
opening the system to replace parts or to connect measuring
instruments. Also, wait for at least 1 minute after turning OFF the
power before replacing parts or connecting measuring instruments.
Otherwise, an electric shock may result. Be sure to check the residual
voltage (relative to the ground) of the charged sections in the inverter
unit in the control cabinet using a digital voltmeter.
Never change measurement points or connect/disconnect
connectors while power is supplied.
19. Safety cannot be guaranteed if external devices that are not shown in
the system circuit diagram are connected to the system. Never attempt
to connect such external devices.
CAUTION 1. Before starting work, fully review the work contents and procedures with
co-workers so that work can be performed safely and efficiently.
7. Fiber cables are delicate and break easily. Therefore, handle the fiber
cables with special care when connecting them.
9. Firmly secure the monitor using screws. If the monitor falls, it may
cause injury or damage

Charge Monitor Error
2) Error Code
The error code is displayed when problems, such as abnormalities, occur to equipment.
While the error code is displayed, radiography operation is forbidden for safety.
A power supply is re-switched off and on, then an error code is cleared. If the problem of
equipment is not solved at the time of a power-supply re-switched on, the display is lighted
on again.
Caution
Please wait for 1~2 minutes before you turn on the machine again right after powering off.
3) Check code
Check codes are warning displays when an error is on operation of equipment unlike an error
code. While the check code is displayed, radiography operation is forbidden for safety. Check
code is cleared when the backup release switch is switched on. Please refer to the check code
list for the case the clearance method is different.
