THE PROBLEM

Introduction

According to Ralph(2006), a sling bag is a bag that has "one end of the strap attached to
the top of the bag and the other end attached to the bottom of the bag."

The size of sling bags will change depending on the design and the purpose of the bag. The bags
are generally larger, allowing for more space to put various items.

The materials for sling bags will change depending on the type of bag needed. More
durable bags may be made out of a sturdier type of canvas or out of leather. Other sling bags are
made out of cotton, wool or silk, and are not as sturdy.

The straps on sling bags are used to create a specific angle on the body. The straps can be
adjusted but are put on a diagonal to always keep an angle.

Some sling bags only feature an inside pocket, while others will feature pockets on the outside
that are capable of being closed. Like many aspects of the sling bag, these details depend on the
actual designer of the bag itself. There is no uniform design for sling bags beyond the angle of
the bag.

Many Drafting and Architectural students are having been a problem from accidental
broken of triangular sets or template of a technical pen sets electrical or plumbing templates. Due
to lack of compartment of their bags. This study conducted for a very important matter. This
improvised draftsmen’s bag compartment is design to prevent your electrical template, plumbing
template, and architectural template for being broken and more comfortable.
Objectives of the Study

1. To create different sizes of pocket in the improvised draftsman sling bag in order to
have a proper placement of drafting tools.
2. To design a durable sling bag by the use of leather
3. To design a sling bag in order to become comfortable unlike with the usual

Statement of the Problem

This applied research study was designed to find out the possible design of an improvised
draftsman sling bag.

Specifically the study sought to answer the following:

1. How can this bag protect the draftsman tools/equipment will safe?

2. What are the advantages/disadvantages of this improvised draftsman sling bag ?

3. How long does it take to create/design a improvised draftsman sling bag?

4. How much its total cost?

5. What are the materials use to create this bag?

Significance of the study

The result of the study will provide the benefits of the following:

The Students

This improvised draftsman sling bag is intended for the Drafting and Architecture students . It
is useful for them to prevent there equipment from broken and give comfortable outfit for
students.

The Instructor

This improvised draftsman sling bag useful also by the instructor this sling bag was composed
of different compartment pockets and have a pocket for lop-top,notebooks etc.

College of Industrial Technology

The College of Industrial Technology will be able to use the results of this innovation as
reference for related matter in other courses.
Scope And Limitations of Study

This applied research will focus on providing a variability of drafting tools bag to organize all
materials. This will let users ( Instructors, Architectural Drafting Students and Architecture
Students ) to carry their tools and keep it safe especially at rainy season. In addition, the product
will help the students and Instructors to see the significance of organizing materials.

This applied research product is intended for small drafting tools such aa technical pens,
triangular scale, eraser, mechanical pen, Leroy, erasing shield, cutter, divider/compass, etc.
except T-square, tracing paper, drawing table, etc.
