GED-ENG (PURPOSIVE COMMUNICATION)

OUTCOMES BASED TEACHER EDUCATION CURRICULUM

TITLE:

LGBTQ : ACCEPTANCE AND LOVE

RATIONALE:

The GED-ENG.O1 course in college as mandated by the Comission on Higher Education


nationwide requires the students to craft outputs that is relevant in solving existing problems in
the society. The said course is offered to 1st year students of PNU Mindanao. As part of the
course requirements, the students are task to do Public Service Announcements such as: poster,
video advertisement, and brochures.

Outcomes-Based Teacher Education Curriculum supports that together with the PNU
Mindanao administration and faculty. The invitation announcement video intitled LGBT+:
ACCEPTANCE AND LOVE is one of the intended outcome of the course implementation stated in
the syllabus.

The public service announcement aims to develop awareness and enlightenment of the
PNU Mindanao students with regards to LGBT+ community. Students need to be informed with
the idea on how LGBT+ community acts and the things to be considered in accepting and
embracing diversity. All this will help the entire PNU community advocate of love and
acceptance of LGBT+ members.

OBJECTIVES

The projects aim to:

 Craft an information and well organized video as a PSA to PNU- Mindanao on LGBTQ:
Acceptance and Love
 Encourage and motivate PNU- Mindanao students to become sensitive with the diversity
in the entire PNU- Mindanao community.
 To have or conduct an information drive within the vicinity of the campus to strengthen
awareness on the matters like LGBTQ concerns and issue.
 To accumulate or gain ideas from the students as additional information to be taken into
consideration in building a Campus Organization for LGBTQ community.
 To mitigate discrimination as a threat to LGBTQ community members.

Description of the Activities

The activity to be accomplish is a public service announcement video intitled


LGBTQ: Acceptance and love. This is to develop values like acceptance and love to the entire
participant in combating discrimination against LGBT member. The video will be an information
material that will educate school administration faculty and staff a home to stop discrimination
against LGBT community members.
