1. Peer Feedback on Project

When my project was critiqued, I received a lot of feedback that helped me

improve my work. It was really helpful for someone to review it and give me some

advice from their perspective. Some of the different critiques I received were to explain

the different devices under each topic more in depth and describe what some different

specific tools were in the IgnitED Lab. After I updated this aspect of my project, another

critique was to explain more about what I would use these devices for in my classroom,

and how they could help the students. All other comments were positive ones about

keeping up my good work and making sure all conventions were correct!

I did not really receive any criticism that was too harsh or critical. Anyone that

helped me by reviewing my paper was very practical and specific with what they thought

needed improvement. The majority of comments were very confident boosting in my

work and revolved around just saying where my strong points were and what points were

straying off topic.

2. Implementation of Feedback

The elements that I would revise if I were to redo this assignment would be the

different corrections I was given. They were very doable and simple to accomplish and

would very easily improve my work. Next, I would revise my time in the lab itself. If I

had more time to spend there, I would gain experience with the different devices they

have. This would have helped me visualize further, more in depth uses for them in the
classroom. It may not have been doable for me to see them to their full potential though,

because I do not have a high amount of knowledge in the technical area.

3. Learning Reflection

Looking back over my project, if I did it again, I would visit the IgnitED Lab

more frequently. I would try and go multiple times before beginning the project and then

again after I began it. This could help ensure that I am confident in my experience and

how each different device works! While I was in the lab, I liked the experience I had with

the staff member and how she walked me through each room slowly. I would keep this

aspect the same and continue to have someone very knowledgeable like that relay their

expertise onto me.

Another aspect of my project that I would change if I did it again would be to

research the three different technology topics before visiting the IgnitED Lab. I knew

what Extended Reality and Artificial Intelligence were beforehand, but I had never heard

of Internet of Things. It would have been beneficial for me to know what to expect before

entering the lab. Other than those, I feel that my experience with the IgnitED Lab and this

project were very helpful to me and my future endeavors in this career field!

4. Alternative Use/ Future Directions

Before exploring the lab and completing this project, I thought Artificial

Intelligence only entailed the simple technology that we use everyday on our cellphones.

I perceived it as just the virtual personal assistants like Siri or Alexa. I never considered it

to be other places, such as in high-tech machines used in large companies. Another

device that I never considered to be used in a different way would be the Virtual Reality
headset. My past experiences with this only entailed exploring somewhere, using a

program and a headset.

Some ways these three different types of technology could be used hypothetically

in ways I didn’t think about at first would be I never imagined using all of these different

technologies before I began this project, but now I realize that there is a lot that can be

done with it in education!
