 11 iPads
 SmartBoard
Materials  Desktop Computer
What resources will you
need?
 Kahoot.it website
 randomlists.com
Write “Kahoot.it” on the board prior to the lesson
Explain to students they will be doing an online quiz game called Kahoot! Tell them that we will be
using the iPads to do it. Tell them that they will be answering questions about things from the
Introduction lessons you’ve taught them in all the different subjects. Tell them that you will pair them up
(attention grabber) randomly using a website that will appear on the SmartBoard. Tell them that they are to get an
iPad one pair at a time starting with “Group 1”, then have them go anywhere they want as long as
they can see and read the SmartBoard.

o Once they are settled with their iPads, have them open up Safari. Use
someone’s iPad to show everyone which one is Safari. Then have them go to
the search bar at the top and type in the website on the board. While they
Body are doing this, play the quiz, revealing the Game PIN. Point to the Game PIN
and have them enter it in the bar they should all see. Then tell them they will
(Activity #1) need to choose a team name and that they will have exactly 2 minutes to do
so. Once all 11 pairs have joined, tell them they just need to choose the
correct answer: red, blue, yellow or green, and start the quiz. Give hints
where absolutely necessary.
