Detailed Lesson Plan in English

For Grade 10

I. Objectives:

At the end of the lesson the students will be able to:


1. Identify the important events that the main character experienced in the story.
2. Recognize the characters and appreciate their contribution to the story.
3. Perform a critical thinking through analyzing what is the message behind the story.

III. Procedure
Introduction

A. Preliminary Activities
a. Prayer
b. Greetings
c. Checking of Attendance
d. Review of the previous lesson

B. Motivation
The teacher will ask the students to get a piece of paper and write the most unforgettable dream
that feels like in a real life situation, and let three students share their answer in the class.

Reflection
The teacher will ask following questions:
1. What did you feel after that dream?
2. What do you usually do after you had that dream?
3. What if your dream was real, are your curious on what are you going to do?

C. Procedure/Presentation
The teacher will ask the students:
1. Have you watch the movie link I sent to you?
2. What did you understand from that movie?
3. What life lessons the story wants to convey?
4. Are there more questions regarding the movie?
D. Abstraction

The teacher will ask the students to write an essay about what they understand from the story and
state an event that they find relatable to their lives or current situation.

E. Application

The teacher will create 3 groups. Each group will have an assigned activity to be written in a
cartolina paper, and present it in the class after.

Group 1: Write down atleast 8 important events happened in the story through a table.

Group 2: Make a character web

Group 3: Share the message, the theme and the lessons we get from the story through a role play.

The teacher will give feedback about the student’s activity.

F. Assessment
Make a list of questions that will let you know yourself deeply. You can ask your classmates for a
suggestion.

G. Assignment
Answer the questions you made.
