 Chairman’s Message

Under the patronage and guidance of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, His Majesty King Salman, the government embarked on a devel-
opment program with massive scale and proportion in Public project
investments. Simultaneously the government encouraged and paved the
way for the Private sector to invest across all sectors of the economy, in
order to diversify the scope of the national economy. Such investments
and economic activities have been phenomenal in size and speed of ex-
ecution, and in terms of mobilization of financial and human resources.
Considering the investment opportunities and the economic space
available, the founders of Al Reef Sugar Refinery Co. (JSC), AK Saeed
Group For Trade and Industry, Jazan Development Co., Al-Abdullatif
Industrial Investment Co., and Rakaa Holding Group, with the two Private
Shareholders, conceptualized the RESRECO to explore and develop busi-
ness opportunities that continue to contribute to the advancement of the
people of Saudi Arabia and the region.
Al Reef Sugar Refinery Co. (JSC) is at an advanced stage of starting a Sugar refinery
business. A project team is appointed, composed of international consultants special-
ized in building and managing sugar refineries, and supported by experienced execu-
tives in managing such mega projects.
We firmly believe in this long term strategic investment in the sugar industry, striving to
satisfy the growing demand and aspiring to participate in KSA’s economic diversifica-
tion drive outside of the petrochemical sector to build a sustainable economy for gen-
erations to come.

Al Reef Sugar Refinery (JSC) RESRECO, is

the largest sugar refinery in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia that will be establish in
the port of Jazan.

RESRECO will have the capacity to pro-

duce 1,000,000 tons of refined sugar per
annum.

Financial Fund

The Saudi Industrial Development Fund plays a pivotal

role in the fulfillment of the objectives and policies of pro-
grams devised for industrial development in the Kingdom
of Saudi Arabia. The Fund plays its role in partnership with
a coherent group of governmental agencies directly
related to industry.The financial support provided by SIDF
in the form of medium and long term soft loans represents
one of its major supportive functions in encouraging
industrial development in the Kingdom. In addition, SIDF
offers technical, administrative, financial and marketing
consultancies, at the highest professional levels, to bor-
rower projects which help overcome their obstacles and
