PROPÓSITO DEL CURSO (Justificación / Motivación / Aportes al perfil del egresado)

Basic Business English II provides opportunities for learners to practice their explicit language
knowledge within a communicative classroom environment. Learners are exposed to business
terminology and business case studies to gradually introduce the specific skill of business
communication. Classroom interaction and communication skills still remain the focus of
assessment and feedback in order to consolidate students’ communicative skills.
Based on the CEFR (A2.2) adapted to the context of Universidad EAN a student who passes this
course can:
• understand and use a series of frequently used phrases, sentences and expressions that they
hear or read on familiar topics or matters of most immediate need for academic study in business;
• communicate in simple and routine tasks that require a direct exchange of information on familiar
and routine matters and can participate in very short social exchanges in the classroom;
