HOW TO USE THE FOS APP

1. How to install: Open FOS.udaan.com and select add it to your home screen to use it as an app.
2. How to Login: Like old app use your mobile number and OTP to log in.
3. How to place an order for an existing Buyer: First confirm that the shop has a QCed Geotag and is
also Verified. If not done, then complete them to place an order. Even if shop pic is there, they must
capture photos if the task for that is there. This means that QCed Geotag is not there.
4. How to add a new buyer: Click on the tab of onboard a new buyer. Enter mobile number. If the
buyer account was created in more than 2 hours before, FOS will not be allowed to add him as a new
buyer.

5. Attendance: Every morning after 8 AM, whenever the BDE will open the app, he will see attendance
screen where he can mark Present, on leave or whether it is his weekly off. This is compulsory for
each FOS.

6. Provisional verification: Any new buyer onboarded to the platform, will not be able to see prices or
place an order until he is verified (soft or hard). So, through this app, an FOS must geotag the buyer
and if and till the QC gets failed, he will be considered as provisionally verified and can see prices
and place an order. Order placed till QC is pending will continue even if QC is failed, but he will not
be able to place any more orders. For buyer to be provisionally verified, onboard a new buyer through
new app, then complete geotag i.e. do the capture photos task. Then ask buyer to log out and log in
again, within a few minutes, buyer should be able to see prices.

Provisional Verification - New Install

Step 1: Install Udaan App on buyer phone.

Step 2: Click on Onboard new buyer on FOS App - FOS.udaan.com
Step 3: Enter the number of the buyer.
Step 4: Take necessary photos and click on submit.
Step 5: If hard verification done, update the same on FOS app.
Step 6: Then log out and login from buyer Udaan app.
Step 7: Prices & Buy now option will be visible now.
Provisional Verification - Existing Installs
Step 1: Click on Capture photos if that option is available.

Issues coming and their solutions:

1. First Time Using the App: Open the app in Google Chrome for the first time and not from
WhatsApp which leads to WhatsApp WebView else the app will not work properly.
2. Permission issues: If there is any issue with the permission, then open the link in chrome, go to the
top left corner in site settings and see whether any function is blocked or not. If camera or location is
blocked, then allow that. Also, chrome should have permission to use camera as an app.
3. No camera available error issue: Update chrome: Go to Chrome. On top right corner, option to
update chrome will come.
4. Unable to initialize Camera: This is a hack that we have come up with temporarily. We are working

site use the camera feature of this and then in separate tab open the FOS.udaan.com…. Here is the

5. Camera does not initialize issue:
 Step 1 Open FOS.udaan.com on chrome browser
 Step 2 Open above link on another tab
 Step 3 In that web page - scroll down and click on capture video
 Step 4 Switch to FOS.udaan.com tab - Now camera will function
 Step 5 Do not refresh the FOS.udaan.com web page
 Step 6 In case page gets refreshed follow Step 2 to 4
 Please do not use FOS-dev.com site it will cause errors in the actual one.
6. IOS home page shortcut not working: If in IOS shortcut is not working please use it through
Chrome or Safari.
7. Map view: Map view does not work as of now; it will start working within few days.
8. Login not happening: If FOS is not mapped in the system, he will not be able log in please ensure he
is logged in.
9. If any of the above issue is persisting after the fix, uninstall the shortcut, please clear the history in
chrome and then login again to clear the cache.

Sometimes in poor network areas, even if capture photos task is completed, photos and geotag do not
get uploaded in real time. In that case buyer may not see prices immediately, please ask the BDE to
refresh and wait for some time.
