“
I can’t really explain what I like most about
Manchester because it’s something that
you just feel. Manchester hugged me like
a child. I lived there for 1 year and it was
“
just amazing. There is such a mix of people,
races and cultures..I think the diversity, and
the way everyone is equal, whatever their
race, religion or culture. I think that’s what
made me love Manchester. Different people,
different food, different places to go, you
feel like you have a piece of the whole
world in Manchester.

Academic
Approach
Teaching Approach
From our research and thorough understanding of
what it means to learn another language, we use the
“The main function
Communicative Language Teaching (CLT) approach in of language is to
our classrooms. Here is some information about the
background to CLT: allow interaction and
communication”
• The main function of language is to
allow interaction and communication
• Classroom language learning is linked
with language activities outside the
classroom
• Real-life texts and materials are used
to help the learning process
• The student’s personal experiences
form a part of learning in the
classroom
All areas of the language should be studied, but
fluency and communication is the ultimate goal, and
is key to the learning process.
