Description: This app lesson will develop 4th and 5th students’ preparedness for their
upcoming S.C. Ready testing.
Instructional Objective: Students will be able to prepare effectively for S.C. Ready
testing and significantly reduce their test anxiety. They will also have the opportunity to
prepare together in groups and offer each other support. This will help reduce the
problem of score-comparison and even bullying.

Step 1 Content-Based or Skill-Based App:

Students will use Chrome to access and utilize USA Test Prep. They will complete
questions that will help them practice and prepare for their upcoming S.C. Ready
testing.

Step 2 Content-Based or Skill-Based App:

Students will use YouTube Kids (only appropriate content) to watch videos on test
preparation and reducing test anxiety. The videos will include tips like getting a good
night’s rest, eating a balanced breakfast, and avoiding cramming before a test.

Step 3 Creation-Based (Learning Artifact) or Skill-Based App (Screenshot of Progress):

Students will use this flashcard-making app to create their own sets of flashcards based on what
they know they need the most practice on. They can work together, test themselves, or even test
each other. This is a creative and independent way for them to study and work in groups as well.
