“SCIENCE SPACE CENTER AND PLANETARIUM”

INTRODUCTION:

• This center engages itself in dissemination of science through active

interaction and participation.
• Over the last decade, hundreds of planetariums worldwide have adopted digital
“fulldome”
projection as their primary projection and presentation medium.
• This trend has far-reaching potential for science centers. Digital planetarium
capabilities extend educational and cultural programming far beyond night-sky
astronomy.
• These “digital domes” are, in essence, immersive visualization environments
capable of supporting art and live performances and reproducing archeological
sites, as well as journeying audiences through the local cluster of galaxies.
• Their real-time and rapid-update capabilities set them apart from giant screen
cinemas.
• Studies suggest that well-designed immersive mediums communicate concepts
better, create a greater interest in learning, and are more effective than a movie
screen or television at conveying scientific concepts
AIM:

The aim is to create not only the set of the buildings but the scientific
experience which never seen before with aesthetical as well.

OBJECTIVE OF THE CENTER:

To create a landmark building that celebrates and showcases the efforts of

space programs worldwide.
To give the public a totally new perspective of the wonders of the cosmos.
To provide novel forms of recreation that are a learning experience as well.
To become a pillar of the community as a whole.
To collaborative with schools and colleges in providing a better scientific
education.
To help youth and children grasp the basic aspects of space science by means
of the activity park.
To give young and worthy students the opportunity to interact with real life
scientists both indian and international.
To provide a conductive environment both for scientific research and space
science.

SCOPE:

• The center such as this is the perfect means of educating an increasingly

science literate population about the wonders of the cosmos.
• The theatres and planetariums will provide quality environment which is
educational and informative as well.
The center will be good to the schools and colleges by working in collaboration
with them to provide a better scientific education.
• The center will also give young talents an opportunity to interact with real life
scientists and the chance to work in close conjuction with them.
• The center will help youth and children understand the basic concepts of
space science in the activity park.
• This center is also the perfect way to celebrate all man’s considerable
achievements in the field of space science

PLANETARIUM TODAY

• It can mean a special projection device designed to recreate indoors the

appearance of the stars and planets.
• Planetariums have grown tremendously. Many projectors now have the
provision for automation of the entire program.
• Carl.Zeiss remain the worlds leading manufacturers of planetarium projectors.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS FOR PLANETARIUM

• Choosing Dome
• Seating
• Instrument
• Auxillary and special Instruments
• Control and Automation sysytems
• Sound systems
• Lighting
• Determining electrical needs
• Chamber
