The India Autism Centre (IAC) - a non-profit organization - is a joint effort between a
private firm (Ratnabali group) and the state government.
It is expected to come up over a 52-acre plot at Sirakol in South 24 Parganas in the next
five years at a cost of about Rs 500 crore.

ALL ABOUT THE TOWNSHIP

The centre will be the first of its kind in India as well as abroad, with housing facilities for 350
residents and daycare centre for over 200 children, adolescents and adults.

The township is expected to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 500 crore under Section 8 of
Companies Act, 2013.

The construction work for the township will begin in 2020 and it is expected to be completed by 2023.
The soft launch of the project has been scheduled for January, next year.

The project will have provisions for training teachers, who would be dealing with those suffering
from the disorder.

The centre is also going to have an administrative wing and a guest house to accommodate parents of
those receiving training at the institute.

India Autism Center (IAC), aspires to be the first of its kind development center in the world for
individuals with autism. This project received the blessings of the West Bengal State Government
at the Bengal Business Global Summit on 17th January 2018 to start the 52-acre project at
Sirakole on Diamond Harbour Road near Kolkata, India. The Center will be equipped with
Residential, Day-care and Vocational training facilities for its residents and visiting Individuals on
the spectrum along with residential facilities for parents, a research and diagnostic center, and a
training college for students interested in autism as a subject. This center is aiming for
completion by the year 2023.
