The reason why chose a civil engineering major?
Because I want to continue my parents' business. Parental advice. Have extensive
employment opportunities. I also know that I prefer a calculated lesson more than rote. I love
engineering because there are field practices, because I love field work instead of office
work. During high school I often accompanied my parents to their workplace, where I was
fascinated by the hard work and the many heavy machinery that was used to build buildings.
Before graduating I was able to earn a scholarship to study civil engineering. I got your info
on my monbukagacouho scholarship to major in Japan. I signed up for next year but I failed,
because my national exam scores were below 84, which was the first requirement for the
scholarship. This resulted in my parents' insistence that I take a domestic college test and
send me to makassar. In makassar I enrolled in three universities, and in those three, I chose
to study civil engineering. In time, I graduated from the Muslim university of Indonesia and
graduated in civil engineering. In addition to this I saw civil engineering graduates who had
become contractors, able to make a sizable amount of money. I was happy when I saw my
parents working, and they took it very seriously.

What will I do after studying?

What will I do after studying? After I finish the study and get a bachelor's degree, I'll
go back to my hometown in Papua in biak. There I would begin working under my parents'
control and earn a salary on my own. After working for about two or three years, I was going
to take a course in life for ir (engineer). To increase my employment opportunities on a
higher level. Because I don't want to bother my parents anymore, I plan to take a professional
course with the money I earned from my labor of two or three years ago. My dream is that I
get to work in a new capital city in Borneo, Because I heard that they need engineers for
those large-scale development.
