Task 1

In a box, there are 3 red balls, 1 white ball, 2 green balls, and 1 white and red ball. We draw a two
balls.

Calculate:

a) Probability of drawing a ball with white color

b) Probability of drawing two green balls

c) Probability drawing a white, a red and a green color in two balls.

Task 2

We roll two six sided dice. Calculate:

a) The number of combinations when both rolls give an even number.


b) The number of combinations when on roll is bigger than the other.
c) The number of combinations where the sum of roll is bigger than 12

Task 3

There are 3 teachers of statistics. A – teaches 30% of students, B – Teaches 45% of students and C-
teaches 25% of students. 50% of A’s students pass their exam. One third of B’s students failed their
exam. Out of all students who passed the exam only 10% were students of C.

Calculate:

a) Percentage of students that passed the exam


b) The probability of being a student of A if you passed an exam
c) The probability of passing an exam, and being a student of C
