The course surveys Philippine culture in general and focuses


on the Filipino value system. Topics include interpersonal
relations, identity, behavior and personality.

Objectives
At the end of the lesson, you should be able to:

1. Know the impact that you can make in your culture as a


youth
2. Motivated to not just be an ordinary youth but a youth that
will impact change in the nation
3. Mobilized to be a better citizen utilizing their gifts and
passion to transform this nation

Learning Concept
There is power in the young people or youth that they have to be unleashed. Unless they
know the secret of their being youth, they won’t make a good impact in the society. A video
entitled “Power of Youth” [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8jx_4AUO5zg] would be
shown so that the class would be motivated as they see their importance in our society
today.

Philippine Propaganda Movement started with College students in Spain
Katipunan was led by Bonifacio in their Youth
Karl Marx casted the vision of Communism in his college
ISIS trains extremist during their childhood
Even Jesus Christ raised up 12 disciples aged 19 to early 20s to change the
world

Then the class would be challenged to take action in revolutionizing and bring a positive
change to the Philippines today. A video would be shown to motivate the students to speak
out their passion and stand for the truth. The Indian video is entitled, “2+2=5”
