Adam de la Halle, also known as Adam le Bossu was a


French-born trouvère, poet and musician. Adam's literary
and musical works include chansons and jeux-partis in the
style of the trouvères; polyphonic.

Died: October 1602, London, United Kingdom

Thomas Morley was an English composer, theorist, singer


and organist of the Renaissance. He was one of the foremost
members of the English Madrigal School.
Famous composer of Secular Music.

One of the famous composers of Baroque Period
George Frideric Handel(1685-1759)
LIFE:
Born: Germany, February 23,1685
Died: London, April 14,1750

George Frideric Handel was a German, later British, Baroque


composer who spent the bulk of his career in London, becoming
well known for his Operas, Oratorios, Anthems, Concerti Grossi
and Organ Concertos.
George Frederic Handel was the second son from the second
marriage of a pastor. Despite his father opposition George secretly
taught himself to play the harpsichord. At the age of 7, he gained
access to church organ and started to play. Duke heard him play
and insisted of giving him a formal music education. Under Zachau,
Organist of Halle cathedral, he studied Counterpoint Canon, and
Fugue.
FAMOUS WORK:

The Messiah” is Handel’s


most famous creation and
the very well-known
“Hallelujah chorus” is part of
Handel’s, “Messiah”.
