Part 1. COUSRE DESCIRPTION


RATIONALE: The course deals with the study of principles and concept of political science
and development of political institutions from pre-Spanish time to present. At the
different stages of its present form of systems of government in examination of the
Philippine constitution and the problems related to this fundamental law of the land.

FOCUS: Focus is on the study of predominant features of the new constitution.


OUTCOME: Competentstudents who are equipped with comprehensive knowledge of the
political systems; the functions and role of the government. Students are also
expected to be responsive citizens and show effective participation in government.

1. Regular attendance is required for all students, 3 unexcused absences will mean automatically dropped
from the subject
2. Wearing of the university student’s I.D. and uniform at all times is required for all the students except
when having field activities.
3. Active in participation individually and in a group is expected.
4. Tardiness is equivalent to one day absence.
5. Student shall abide the instructor/professor’s policy on the submission of learning outputs based on the
metrics and deadlines given.
