Course Description : The course introduces students to a survey of concepts, theories and principles that underpin the Philippine
administrative system. It takes into account and studies the dimensions of public administration scholarship
and practice in the Philippines, and perspectives on Public Administration, governance and in the
development sector. The discussions also include public institutions, policies and reforms that are pertinent
to better understanding public administration in the country, and local governance as well. (Note: Instructional
Material adopted from Prof. F. De Leon, CPSPA part time faculty practitioner in local government. Her course outline was
enhanced as indicated in blue font)
