Bamboo the longest grass, predominant in Assam which can be handcrafted to design various
objects, tools and importantly cooking tools, pots and Bamboo water bottle to keep water. The
disposable plastic bottles are very bad for health and in summer cannot be used as it becomes
hot. It is a responsible choice of material as it is easily recyclable, durable and can be used
repeatedly. It does not cause any harm to our environment as it is made by biodegradable things.
This eco-friendly bottle comes in various sizes. It is like any other plastic water bottle with a
cork so that water has no chance of leaking also during the process of manufacturing the bottles
are extensively treated to make them bacteria free, hygienic and safe for storing human
consumable water in all environment
There are various craftsman and entrepreneurs in Assam who are involve in producing eco-
friendly bamboo water bottle. By making tie up with them we can procure the water bottle
at cheap rates and in return we can provide them the opportunity to represent themselves at
International level, by making them our sponsor.
Considering the total no. of participants in SUSCON be 100 and the no. of bottle required
be 150.
Also considering the consumption of water by a single person be 2 litres per day, hence the
total consumption of water by 100 people in 3 days is = 150*3*2 = 900
Total cost of water bottle will lie in range of rupees 150*100 – 150*150 = 15000 – 22500
Total cost of water along with Bottle will lie in range of Rupees = 16800-24300
From the above calculation we can find that there is very less difference in the cost of
bamboo bottles in comparison to plastic water bottles.
