Opportunity seeking, screening, seizing

First I want to discuss what each of the topics mean then explain my own
thoughts or opinion about them. In order for me to write the content in an organize
manner.

Opportunity seeking is where entrepreneurs are looking for opportunities or

ideas. This opportunity or ideas that I am talking about is the ones use in the
market place. Business or product that is unique, new and will separate from
ordinary businessman whose only goal is to make profit from selling and doing
services for people. This is what they call business as usual.

Opportunity screening is the process of cautiously selecting the best opportunity.

This is the process of evaluating and selecting the best opportunities you have and
which you should take. This is also the ongoing process based activities that are
believed to be an advantage for the firm or business.

Opportunity seizing is the next step for the entrepreneur to seize the chosen
business opportunity. The entrepreneur must determine exactly what critical
factors cause business opportunities to succeed and what critical factors cause it to
fail.

In my own opinion the opportunity seeking is just looking for ideas for a
business. Then the next process is to evaluate all those found ideas/opportunities
and think which is better than the other, lastly is going through with the chosen
opportunity and actually making it.
Challenge #2

I. Case Analysis
1. Look at your community and find one social entrepreneur.
> My aunt who support and work for an orphaned house for children.
2. Discuss why you think he or she is classified as social entrepreneur.
What societal problem does he or she solve?
She is as social entrepreneur because she helps solves one of the most
pressing social problem in the world. From what she told me she helps them
to be happy, loved, cared and not alone, because if a children is left all by
themselves they could develop emotional and behavioral problems.
3. Find out if the social business enterprise if profitable.
Some social business enterprise is profitable, but the majority is not. The
only reason why a social enterprise is profitable because they need fund for
the tools and equipment like medical technology for the betterment of ones-
self and medicines.
