Advancing Technology for Schools

Around 75 percent of educators think that technology has a positive impact in the

education process (Cox). Children are on their mobile devices almost all the time because it

interest them and keeps them busy. So this makes it easier for teachers to keep the student

interested in what they are learning. Teacher are able to get the students to communicate more

since children socialize mainly on their phones. The world is becoming more digital now and

school have yet to really adapt to this anomaly and student are becoming less focus on school,

but if schools start using technology in their lesson it would make students more attentive in their

classes.

Technology is becoming demanding than many thought and now we more minds that are

able to creative, design, innovate, and are able to fix them. By using technology in schooling we

could help these young minds; be ready for the future and not keep them in the past. Technology

is moving faster than ever before and the world can’t keep up. Most careers are dealing with

technology and student won’t be ready if we not teach them how to do it now. Student are more

active in education if they are able to enjoy it.

Students are always on their phones do something and schools make them put them away

and sit and listen to a long lecture and take note. “That is, we need to engage the students in ways

that make it difficult for them to pay attention to anything else.(Halaka).” If we do things that are
hands on or at least where the students are engaged in what is being taught to them they more

likely to retain more information. Studies show “Students report that the class goes by more

quickly and they remember more.(Halaka)”. So allows students feel like they are part of the

learning experience and them learn at the speeds they are capable of going.

The technology allows each student to at their own rate of learning abilities. This also

allows the teacher know who need extra help and those who are understand the lesson. This also

helps the teacher adapt to this student’s abilities of learning and improved their teaching skills.

By being able to see how the student react to their work give the teacher the ability to talk with

parent to help improve the student ability. But some think that this technology is a distraction

and stops the students from learning. If you give a student something they can do and learn from

while having fun it then is not a distraction.

So technology in school can be a great thing for the future generations. Parents will able

to know that their child is doing good in the classes. The student will be able to do better on their

standardized test. Teachers will be able to really connected and adopted their work to make sure

their do their job right. This is all because students will start to have more positive results their

on the work that they enjoyed doing on their electronic devices.
