Research Design: Phenomenological Research Design

Research Topic: Young Lovers in Action: Challenges and Motivation in School for a Meaningful Love
Story
Purpose Statement:

This study is conducted to discover relevant challenges that lovers is encountering with in the
range of school’s premises such as academic performance and socialization. Furthermore, it seeks to
established the motivations that young lovers used to cope in to the challenges. Indeed, this study will
outline the relevant actions of young lovers which set their love story to work well and become
meaningful.

Research Problem:

This study considers the challenges that young lovers is encountering within the school premises
such as the academic performance and socialization, which may threaten their love story that leads to
misunderstanding and worst is breaking-up. This in turn sparks the interests of the researcher to
discover the motivations of this young lovers to cope in to the challenges.

Research Questions:

1. What are the challenges of the young lovers in the school towards their academic performance
and socialization that affects their love story in terms of age, year level, section and gender
classification?
2. What are the motivations of the young lovers in the school to cope in to the challenges towards
their academic performance and socialization affects their love story in terms of age, year level,
section and gender classification?
3. What are the relevant actions the young lovers set in their love story to work well and make it
meaningful?

Background of the Study

“Love knows no limit to its endurance, no end to its trust, no fading of its hope; it can outlast
anything. It is, in fact, the one thing that still stands when all else has fallen” (1 Corinthians 13:4-8
Phillips).

What is a lover? What is a meaningful love story? What makes the story of the lovers better
than others? What are the challenges? What can be done to battle the challenges? These are important
questions asked by many young individuals who’s in the path of meaningful procreation. These are also
questions that have been examined by scholars and philosophers for a very long time and for which
hundreds of answers have been proposed (Fredette, 1984).

Strengthening relevant relationship is a tough job among the many lovers. Especially when one
has to balanced the academic performance and the life for the spirit of socialization. Academic
performance as considers by the experts as stated and explained by Tomas, 2011 is the extent to which
a student, teacher or institution has attained their short or long-term educational goals. Completion of
educational benchmarks such as secondary school diplomas and bachelor's degrees represent academic
achievement. Looking on this paradigm, it can be gleaned that lovers in order to be successful in this
agenda has to consider their academic preferences towards their lessons, projects, curricular and co-
curricular activities in order to advance in the academic performance. This manifests a numerous
challenge for the lovers which has to be consider importantly. On the other hand Socialization is
described as socialization is the process of internalizing the norms and ideologies of society.
Socialization encompasses both learning and teaching and is thus "the means by which social
and cultural continuity are attained (Clausen, 1968). Considering these views about academic
performance and socialization, lovers will indeed have a problem of managing fairly the demand of both
time and efforts.

Having to stand in the tests of time among the lovers, one has to be strong and smart enough to
deal the situations in which both the parties are being preserved. Motivations to the extent are being
embarked within the surface of decision making to go on to the relationship without affecting the status
of love relationship. This in turn is the benchmark that inspire lovers to battle the decisive need for a
successful academic performance without affecting the relationship goals among the lovers. Engaging it
may seem that two parties should work together to provide a worthwhile cohort that plays an important
role for both academic performance and socialization factors without endangering the spirit of the
meaningful love story.

Thus, the researcher established the importance of discovering the challenges motivation of the
young lovers in the school towards their academic performance and socialization that affects their love
story in terms of age, year level, section and gender classification. The researcher is indeed influence to
pursue the study as the goals sets to emphasize relevant actions that may help many lovers to conquer
the challenges sets in academic performance and socialization.
